(Code of Ethics Applies to Associate Members Only)
- There are two primary reasons for Associate Members to attend SALGBA Conferences:
- To understand the needs of Jurisdictional Members and to learn of issues that concern and affect those Members so that Associate Members can better serve that market.
- To promote the Associate Member’s organization, products, and services through the communication of information and establishment of direct contact with Jurisdictional Members.
- Speakers who are asked to give presentations should not use their presentation as a sales format to promote their company, product, or services. The presentation should be devoted to the general, technical, and professional subject matter of the session.
- Associate Members are encouraged to attend Jurisdictional Round-tables. These sessions are designed to allow Jurisdictional Members an open forum to discuss specific topics.
- Associate Members should use these sessions to learn of issues that affect Jurisdictional Members and should not participate in the dialogue at roundtable sessions unless invited by the moderator. At some conferences, a separate Associate Member Roundtable may be held.
- Associate Members are encouraged to attend all presentations and workshops. Associate Members are encouraged to pursue CGBA certification.
- Associate Members should not register for door prizes given by other Associate Members.
- The Association strongly discourages promotion of competing activities (e.g., receptions, meetings, alternate training events, etc.) during the conference or conducting activities during conference sessions and/or events.
